About F.B.I.

A few thoughts on the series and movies watched

It's the annually lighting cremony of TVB.
This year it is the 43rd year.
Eventhough it seems that most people have given up on TVB nowadays lots will still tune into the anniversary.

It started with artists clapping for 5 minutes straight so the "The Voice" group could perform. (unless you count starting with Uncle 6 starting the light up)
Hosts were Dodo and Liza

Then (from left to right) Johnson Lee, Wong Cho Lam, and Louis Yuen talked about the possible best actors and actresses this year.

Gun Metal Grey's cast had some trailers, clips and a small little interview.

No Regrets also had the same.

Then some TVB artists danced while a few The Voice contestents sang.

And the last performance was Johnson, Cho Lam and Louis singing some songs from TVB series.

Overall it was boring, starting with "The Voice" was a HUGE mistake. Having them perform so much was another one.
TVB's main watchers all these years watch their series and dramas, NOT music programs.
Look at The Voice's ratings, any series, no matter how bad it does, will probably be better than them.

The Voice's chinese title translate Super Huge/Large Voice (with the pun of Super Star), but not everyone of those people have that in them, at least not when they were on the stage. Only 1 or 2 of them have that "star shining characteriestics". They sounded like they were performing on The Voice stage and that should be that and not brought to the anniversary stage, especially not an opening.

Luckily the "3 gods" kind of saved them, but unless you are a fan of Handelababy, Hungry, and Big X it was kind of average, still it was better than nothing.

The best part was the trailer and interview for Gun Metal Grey.
That would also be due to the fact I am not as interested in No Regrets.

Ending with more dancing and singing just makes it boring but TVB does not give time to their artists, so leading actors and actresses do not have time to practice and perform anything. They leave it till the Gala/Celebration.

And what was with Liza, was she too busy that she did not have time to memorize her script.

And... it was a great idea of having artist lip-sync last year although people complained. Maybe they can do live performance on stage/at location but on screen just shows all the flaws.

It is boring but it brings the anniversary spirit up! (Hopefully it brings up my spirit to finish/restart all the reviews I should catch up on xP)
