(Yes, déjà vu, not plagiarism (=)
Just a while ago it felt like EU déjà vu.
Why?
Cause in Canada Fairchild was airing EU and there was My Better Half and O.L. Supreme.

This déjà vu was mainly because of the same cast appearing on screen at the same time.
My Better Half – Michael Miu, Michael Tse, Alex Lam, etc
O.L. Supreme – Ron Ng, Lam Lei, Joel Chan, King Kong, Angelina Lo, Patrick Dunn, Kwok Fung, Li Ka Sing, etc

No big surprise that OLS has lots of the same cast because it’s the same producer as EU, it’s just airing the series at the same time making it more obvious.
It’s just the ‘problem’ with little cast mixing.

One ‘parallel’ is that Teresa and King Kong seem to have a very similar storyline, they both want lots of family love.



‘Déjà vu’ does not end right there. Should I thank the ‘talented’ Cheung Wah Biu?
It seems like Moonlight all over again.
A Fistful Of Stances vs Moonlight Resonance (ooo both -ance ending)

Kevin Cheng vs Moses Chan
The child Kevin hasn’t appeared yet (he appears in episode 7) so I don’t know how similar they will be, but I have a feeling they are similar. I guess for now, they don’t stay home.

Kenneth Ma vs Raymond Lam
They are both the one that ‘cares’ a lot about the family. Not that the others don’t, but they are more focused on it.

Natalie Tong vs Tavia Yeung
They are the adopted daughter in the family and fall in love with the eldest son.

Alex Lam vs Tavia Yeung
They both ‘ran’ away.

Dominic Lam vs Michelle Yim
Dominic is more evil, but it is also a pre-modern series, so they can go further with what he does.

Selena Li vs Linda Chung
Both are doctors and will love the enemy family’s son.

Shirley Yeung vs Kate Tsui
Saw that Shirley is a villain in here? But either way they see money really tight.

Henry Lee Shing Cheung vs Susanna Kwan/Henry Lee Shing Cheung
He seems like a semi-villain again, but at least he is that ‘lovable’ Auntie Sa.

He continuously goes back in the room to tell the siblings he will sell their training school/pharmaceutical shop, reminds me of Susanna in MR.


He counts all that ‘he did’ also very similar to Susanna.


He was a gambler and their grandfather ‘kicked him out of the family’.


Always turn to someone else to say/prove something AND BE LOUD!


This was exactly what Louise Li said for the ‘terrible sin’ she did from letting Moses go to the Kam family. Was it really that serious?


Lets make fun of our uncles and aunts.

And many many more that will possible appear or have appeared but I didn’t stat.

I don’t know if I should be happy Cheung Wah Biu is leaving after Rosy Business II or not. At least the series he wrote are still somewhat watchable... just numerous repeating. Hope they actually have a ‘different script’ for Rosy II or we’ll (at least I’ll) be counting the ‘similarities’ if I ever watch it.
