The pictures from their costume fitting were pretty bad compared to the actual outcome. Maybe it was because of the pictures but I think they changed their looks. I wanted to watch this because of Maggie. I remember waiting for a while for it to release. Don’t think I saw any news related to this series.
While airing there was a plagiarize news. I had fun with that news, but TVB probably didn’t.

Actors/Actresses performances
Linda Chung – she didn’t have a super performance but it was enjoyable to watch, average performance. From the drawing post I think I’ve said most of what I wanted to say. I see Linda as the top Fa Dan over anyone else for some weird reason.

Steven Ma – I am not a fan of Steven (nor am I after watching) but I think he did really well at the Hakka boy/villager; it wasn’t annoying and sometimes funny. His trademark of ‘10 XXX there have 20’ is so much better than those ‘golden phrases’.

Raymond Wong – A more serious kind of character added to the comedy. Enjoyable to watch, so if TVB actually gives him more challenging roles they might not have to cast the same people over and over again.

Kent Cheng – His character wasn’t that great especially when Ah Yu and Ah Kung were together but Kent still made Lulu alright to watch. His character was more enjoyable to watch near the start.

Maggie Siu – I don’t think I’ve seen Maggie in a comedy, I don’t even think Maggie has been in comedy for the last little while. She didn’t have something super impressive since the role wasn’t huge and didn’t have that much screen time or scenes with lots of people other than Kent but it was fun to watch, being someone with a little OCD made it funny.

Lee Kwok Lun – His character was somewhat annoying at the beginning or when he was doing stupid things but when his screen time became less and near the end it was a lot better. I’d blame it on the script for making him a useless guy to why I didn’t like him that much. I liked the show he put on after kidnapping his sister Tin Ngo.

Natalie Tong – She did pretty well as Carmen since pushy roles (towards Tin Yau) can be annoying but maybe because it is comedy she was fine.

Kwok Fung – This guy is sure my favorite. At first I didn’t even connect who was this actor. He sure knows how to get rid of the ‘shadow’ of his other characters (The Beauty Of The Game, Beyond The Realm Of Conscience, D.I.E. Again, Sweetness in The Salt, Rosy Business, etc). He is just amazing! I am glad they casted him. Loved when the police kept on arresting him to actually protect him.

Ching Hor Wai – When she was kicking Ah Kung out of the house and had Qiu Jei’s Kung Fu Hustle image, pretty sweet mother.

Ram Tseung – He did a better job than Lee Kwok Lun at the useless guy, still these roles are not enjoyable to watch.

Yvonne Lam – So much better seeing her in comedy roles compared to actual drama.

Konnie Lui – Chi Chi Dai, what a role. Although her height might case lots of trouble in filming she still has the chance of becoming a fa dan.

Lee Yee Man – She quit Off Pedder for this… and it doesn’t even seem like she got that much screen time. Maybe if she stuck in OP she would have gain more.

Relationships
Ah Yu and Ah Kung (Linda and Steven) – The typical bickering couple, but I don’t think I’ve seen this formula for a while so it didn’t feel repetitive and it was short. Plus after working together so many times they have lots of chemistry. It’s… (Insert word I don’t know) how they blow their kiss, it gave me shivers. Their storyline sure had lots of ups and downs, not the usual maybe one or two or no problems for such a short series. It felt like there might actually be some change for once even though it’s pretty obvious the formula doesn’t change but the feel was good.

Tin Ngo and Lulu (Maggie and Kent) – There were times that it felt like if Maggie just gave up it would have been fine. Probably due to the point Lulu (I suppose) is a character that they wanted everyone to like but turned out not. They still had lots of chemistry but it didn’t feel like love.

Carmen and Tin Yau (Raymond and Natalie) – Pretty sweet seeing these two, Carmen being the one pursuing Tin Yau added to the comedy. Natalie has the ability to be a lead if she is lucky enough.

Yung Fat and Mei Lin (Ram and Yvonne) – Mei Lin (Fat So) was the mean one, in charge of everything, taking over him. Weird how sometimes she would be ‘nice’ and change in not even a blink of an eye, she has bipolar or something and funny how she starts out not in the scene and can suddenly appear. Did she install a GPS installed into Fat or follows Fat 24/7. Near the end they followed the formula of Mei Lin changing but there wasn’t much on how he or she changed or the outcome of Yung Fat changing or in fact anything really focusing on their story line after the divorce.

Being a series with dogs and a main part of the series, I wanted to know more about dog training. Lulu’s story seemed to just stop after Bingo (Tin Yau’s police dog) was injured, the training on Ah Kung slowly disappear and Woody didn’t appeared on screen for a lot. As long as TVB knows NOT to dub the animals it is great using animals to film.
This series isn’t something that makes you feel like you have to watch the next episode or you have to watch it right away but it still made me continue. Maybe because the whole series is connected with 2 cases, Tin Ngo being kidnapped and the lost drug case, maybe because TVB took ATV’s script which aren’t ones that are repeated over and over again, maybe because I haven’t seen a comedy in a long long time, or maybe it really is a good series.

My Rating: 7/10, won’t re-watch
