Club Venus is hosted by three women from the group ‘Venus’ (the club doesn’t seem to have a English name).

The meaning of their group name is they are women who like to gossip.
They invite guest that are mainly female from (or were from) the entertainment industry to talk about their views on each topic.
Episode 1 – View on TV awards
Guest – Louise Lee, Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai, Louis Yuen, Wong Cho Lam, and Susan Tse
Episode 2 – Making good use of leisure time
Guest – Lam Kin Ming, Elvina Kong, Cha Siu Yan, Priscilla Ku Kei Kwan, Chung Wai Bing, Si Lai Chun, Jaclyn Chu Wai Shan, and Kou Hung Ping
Episode 3 – The pressure that women face
Guest – same as episode 2
Episode 4 – Private money
Guest – Jamie Chik, Anita Yuen, Joe Ma, Tang Oi Lam, and So Wai Man
Episode 5 – Repositioning of men and women
Guest – Mariam Yeung, Chan Man Yee, Tanya Chan, and Louis Cheung
Episode 6 – A girl will doll herself up for him who loves her (credit to Yahoo dictionary)
Guest – Fala Chen, Eunis Chan Ka Yung, Alice Lau Nga Lai, Tong On Kei, Wong Pui Ha, Sammy Leung, and William Tang Tat Chi

Episode 1 is probably the only episode I actually paid attention to and had the most entertainment. Plus it was the first episode and I wanted to see what the show was about.
Episode 2 + Episode 3 has lots of guest, balancing both the entertainment and the seriousness. Too bad Teresa Mo wasn’t there or else everyone would have been there. Lam Kin Ming (Dai Jei Ming/Big Sister Ming) made the atmosphere great, I wanted to see more of Chung Wai Bing's funny side after seeing her in Club Sparkle too bad there wasn't. It showed a bit of how the actual ‘meetings’ would have been and it would probably be great to go to one of their meetings to see what they really talk about. (:P)
Episode 4 is interesting but somehow it felt like I didn’t watch anything or got nothing out of it probably because I have 0 money management skills.
Episode 5 has a positive message but at times I didn’t even tune in to what they were talking about.
Episode 6 was about dressing up, makeup and keeping fit to look nice. It was a bit brief and I am so lazy I do none of those so useless to me.

One of the problems for this show is there are too many guests. They can only ask one question and get one or two people to answer it. Sometimes Liza seemed to be in control with everything so Dodo and Margie couldn’t speak. Dodo is a good host no doubt but just regular performance not great or special. Margie seems to be a bit ‘controlled’ and can’t be her usual self because this show seems so serious, there is ‘Ah Jei’ and she can’t be as humorous. During episode 6 she seems to be fit better or felt more comfortable working with Liza but it’s the last episode. It makes it seems like without Liza it would be better but with out Liza it would probably turn out into a totally different show.
Club Venus is easily compared with Club Sparkle hosted by Sandra Ng and Chin Ka Lok. They are both a ‘club’ and talk show. I enjoy Club Sparkle more because Sandra is great at hosting these kinds of variety shows but Venus is a totally different show. Sparkle is more entertaining, talking about the entertainment world and asking about rumors while Venus is about society and something most people will experience easier so something ‘everyone knows’. The only thing you could compare are the guests and/or guest amount. The amount of guest as mentioned above, there are too many for most episodes for a 45 minute show. Do the questions and topics really require that many people to answer? They invited more guests each time (the order it was recorded: 5, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6).

The entertainment in this show is close to none so it isn’t the regular talk show (ones about artist or the entertainment circle) people want to watch; hence ratings were only around 20.

Having the name starting with Club makes me wonder if they really wanted to make it into something like Club Sparkle, if they did it was clearly a fail, but if no they should have had a different name, the Chinese name was different and didn’t have the world ‘club’. At least it is done and a game show will follow, something relaxing and fun to watch to look forward to.

My Rating: 4/10, won't re-watch

My favourite episodes were 2 and 3. It was very funny, even though some of the stuff they talked about on there was already covered on "Club Sparkle". Too bad Teresa Mo couldn't make it on there as she was busy filming "Off Pedder". :)

I am glad that TVB will make "Club Sparkle (Supreme Edition). :D
