I watched this because of Esther, there was nothing else that I looked forward to other than her. I saw news about Derek taking off his pants and the sales presentation before watching. The sales presentation was nothing special and the outcome of the series was the same.

Performances
Esther Kwan, if it wasn’t her I would have dropped this series. Other than the episode 2 scene I did a post on, there were a few other scenes that I liked but episode 2 was my favorite. Other than that, the episode that focused on Esther and Roger was funny too.

Michelle Yim was pretty shocking. She had to be a 16 year old and she totally pulled it off well, it was pretty cute. This is the 3rd 4th(?) time I’ve seen an adult being young (previous were Roger Kwok’s Ah Wong in Life Made Simple and Michael Tse’s Ah Yi in Best Bet --add in Moses from Beyond) and she is the best out of them. Her scenes with Esther were great.

Derek Kok’s Kau Mui was a combination of CC from WOIL2 and Ching Yee from DIE2, same producer WOIL2, DIE2 and this. Maybe he liked how these 2 roles had good feedback and told Derek to do it again? So in a way there is nothing special and this time there isn't an actress to have a relationship with him in the previous two, but still enjoyable.

Roger Kwok as a swindler there are lots of ways to make it fun to watch, but Roger didn’t really make it fun. I guess I expected more from this 2 time TVB best Actor.

Lawrence Ng was a good villain, it was obvious to me that he was the bad guy. They didn’t have those ‘change face’ scenes for him and not a lot of obvious angles that showed he was bad. Even knowing he was the villain it felt right not to show him doing bad stuff or signs that he did bad stuff. The only reason for wanting them to show/hurry up the bad side of him was to finish the series off because it got boring, but once he was on the screen again, the thought disappeared because he didn’t make it that boring. Of course that's before his real side is shown.

There are lots of gags and funny parts but probably because the many years of watching TVB and being older they don’t make me laugh. Episode 2 was just sweet because it was Esther if it wasn’t Esther it probably wouldn’t have the same effect. If it wasn’t Esther I would probably skipped it anyways.
Makes me wonder if Bobby took over Roger’s role would it be better. Bobby didn’t seem to be filming anything during that summer so why not find him.

My Rating: 5/10, won’t re-watch
